The fact that they run on the 32bit system means there is nothing wrong with the CD or USB flashdrive in themselves - the problem is something to do with the settings on the computer - possibly the bios settings - is this a very new machine which has an integrity check to make sure nothing is corrupted at boot? If so you may be able to turn this off...

It may be worth mentioning that there is nowt to chose between the CDROm and the USBflash.
They both do nothing (perhaps at differing speeds!)
