Herefordshire Council (my employer) has released a grant which may be of
interest to the LUG:

Fastershire - Support to help groups and clubs prepare for faster broadband
in Herefordshire

Local community groups and clubs in Herefordshire can apply for funding
from the Fastershire Broadband project to arrange internet awareness and
training sessions so that more local people are prepared for faster
broadband in Herefordshire and can make the most of the benefits of going
online.

Groups could arrange a one-off session for one of their regular meetings, a
demonstration on what the internet can be used for, or a series of training
sessions on specific subjects such as emailing, searching for and applying
for jobs, paying bills online, making video calls or finding more
information about hobbies, health or education.

The closing date for the first round of applications is 16th August 2013
Application forms etc available here
