[HLUG] Linux Mint

Hi All,
I have Win 7 on a laptop.

I downloaded Linux Mint, 885Mb, from a Uni mirror in UK ( via my Laptop) and copied it to a flash stick to put distro onto my desktop.


I then dbl CK the Icon in download folder and nothing happens!

Any suggestions How I might get 'Mint onto Laptop - as an Alt - and same on my desktop ?
