As far as I know dual booting comes at a higher level than BIOS. If you
reinstall Ubuntu from a live CD or USB stick it should a) detect both
operating systems and b) give you the option to start from scratch with a
single install of Ubuntu. After this single install you'd be free of any
dual boot issues.
