[Herts] Anyone got Firewire/DV working with Linux?

I had a brief play last night at getting my DV video camera working with
Kino on Mandrake 10. Currently it's not even seeing the camera. If
anyone has some ideas and will be there on Wednesday I could bring my
box along. I'm not sure about lugging the 17" CRT there, but I do have a
little KVM box we could use to share a screen between PCs.
