Just a quick "heads up" to everyone currently using NTL for 
broadband.

Apparently NTL are now capping their broadband at 1gb per day, even 
though http://www.ntlhome.com/ntl_internet/broadband.asp still 
clearly states "Unlimited surfing so you don't have to worry about 
high call charges".  The details of the cap have been added to NTL's 
AUP page (section 2h) http://www.ntlworld.com/legals/user-policy.htm

As someone who enjoys downloading Linux ISO's on a regular basis, as 
well as large game demos and large multimedia files, this really 
sucks!

To make matters worse, the continuing deterioration in NTL's binary 
newsgroup servers means that more and more users are having to resort 
to third party newsgroup providers (e.g. easynews.com), which in turn 
generates even more external NTL network traffic.
