i am having problems transfering files to an i-pod i bought in
december.
yesterday i got my i-tel device back. the i-tel is a device that
plugs into the socket used for usb cable and docking stations
which takes control of the i-pod to give access to the menus ie
albums with speech feedback and the i-tel controls are arranged
same as the i-pod only more raised with two extra buttons on the
i-tel for volume and the headphones and maybe speakers plug into
the earphone jack on the i-tel.
i have tried using both rhythmbox and gtkpod to transfer the
files only i am running into difficulty.
gtkpod seems to ask for a serial number and something about
mounting a directory and because i am blind i don't know what
number to choose for my i-pod nano.
rhythm box i can see the files when i go to audio cd but although
i can select all the files from the edit menu and use copy, when
i choose the i-pod source i can't paste the files across.
could anyone possibly give me some feedback?
i have tried to get help from the orca mailing list only nobody
seems to have got back to me on how i transfer my music files.
i think once someone has gone through it with me using speech i
might get more of an idea of how it is done in future.
there seem to be menus in rhythmbox which i have no idea of what
they do ie import so i am wondering if some of these menus have
anything to do with transfering music?
