Hi,
I'm available to help out. New to the IOM (2 Months) I've been working with
mostly Linux OS & apps but also have dabbled in FreeBSD and OpenBSD and
some other free OS systems.
Have been using Mythbuntu - Ubuntu based media center at home for about 4
years and have just done in new install for Freesat that has 3TB storage. I
have been using Linux since about 2000 and other OpenSource stuff over the
years.
At work we are mostly a WinOS shop but use Open Source or free software for
mail servers (Postfix), system monitoring (Zabbix),
helpdesk(Request-Tracker) and any other apps I can find that will
substitute for commercial products. I'm also a strong Python advocate and
try to use it as much as possible.
I can bring 4 raspberry pi boxes along if someone can supply keyboards,
mice & displays (need HDMI connection & cables) on the day.
I hate giving presentations but willing to chat to folks one to one or in
small groups.
Regards
Steve Lewis
