[Klug-general] re-compiling update

Well it did it!
Finally I was able to type in uname - r and get 'linux-2.6.12mdkcustom'
This was after a re-compile of the 'vanilla' kernel to include just support 
for athlons.
Things ran a smidgen faster, it got excited, ticked lots more boxes and 
promptly broke the kernel again.

The final commands I used were

make mrproper
make xconfig
make bzImage
make modules
make modules_install
make install

I didn't even have to fiddle about with lilo, it reconfigured it all by it's 
self.
