I just started using democracy too, you've gotta try out french maid tv,
it is very informative ;) Hak.5 has some cool stuff too, and you may
want to check out media rights, world on fire, I thought that was a cool
concept for a music video.

Do you have a URL for this google wants a kitchen? I'm looking into
creating a freevo2 plugin for podcast/vidcast and this may be a good
jumping off point as you mention its python. License permitting of
course (i assume its GPL).

What version of gst are you using? I'm on 0.10 which is excellent on
fedora, if you're using 0.8 I'd suggest upgrading as 0.8 is buggy nasty
can't keep sync and is generally a pain in the butt. Also 0.10 has a
good seeking system which works very well.
