[Klug-general] Important news & job offers

Over the past few days I have had to make some difficult decisions
affecting my future and sadly disrupting things for people around me.

I have been offered a job in London which will enable me to hopefully
fly higher and experience new things etc... The plus side is that I
will hopefully be moving up in the world and living with the love of
my life... and my girlfriend. So it won't be just me and the server
any more.
I start the job in September so the repercussions of this are:
1. No more Rochester venue for the LUG.
2. My boss at the college now hates my guts.
3. There is 2 potential jobs at the college that need to be filled very quickly.

I'm preying that I can help find someone to replace me and provide
training as I feel guilty for leaving the college at such short
notice. All on the list will understand the college's position, those
who know me know that I am the IT department and that there is nobody
else currently on site who has any hope of taking over from me.
If you or someone you know is interested in one of two (or if you are
as brave as me and want to take on both rolls) of the positions send
me an email or contact me ASAP!

The two rolls are:
1. Full time IT technician on a predominantly windows based network
(with some Linux bits thrown in predominantly to provide some bells
and whistles). Providing day to day maintenance of the system and
helping staff and students with problems you never thought existed.

2. Full/part time teacher of ICT/Computing mainly for A level courses.

Obviously if someone from the LUG goes for and gets the job then the
LUG will hopefully still get to use the venue.

The preference is for someone to start on the 20/21st August. I can
honestly say that the college is a good place to work and while
eccentric and at times unauthordox I have enjoyed working here
(despite my rants about being kept too busy) and will miss both the
location and many of the people I have worked with.

I beg if you or anyone you know may be interested get in contact as
the looks I'm getting from the management at the moment are quite
scary.
