Yes, I noticed that.

Just talking to Editor @ Trusted Reviews, he seemed to think it was the 
Creative DAP Jukebox. He's been around a while and I trust him on that. 
And certainly I don't ever recall the iPod being the first - purely the 
most popular.

Googling that a little, brings up it's launch prior to the iPod, in 
October 2000. And I do remember that being marketed quite a lot.
