Sounds like you are being overly complex in how you are managing your
monkey.

My personal preference is to use Mutt, I have it setup dealing with many
tens of thousands of mails, from several dozen domains, and god knows
how many email addresses. The mozilla derivative mail clients are good,
but they only go so far.
