Hi Stu,

Many thanks for taking the time to write that helpful note - I really 
appreciate it. You are right - it was 'connect' not 'correct'. 
Fingerpokentrubbles!

I hope you weren't too put out by my second email which stated that I 
have found the problem.

All the libraries were on-board but were in /usr/lib and not /lib where 
VMWare Workstation wanted them.

So a quick trip to root and a few ln -s lines and all was fixed.

This is all on account of my feeling my way with Linux - too old too I 
expect.

I really appreciate all the help though.
