I was just wondering if the incompatibility between OOo3 and
Mandriva2008.1 (updated) + KDE 3.5 + nvidia could be to do with OOo's
reliance on java. I have the mandatory JavaRTE installed, but when you
install the Windows version of OOo3 (how I am using it now under
VirtualBox) it also goes and gets a java update. It seems that the Linux
version either spotted that the java update wasn't necessary on my
machine or just didn't bother to seek/find/get.

Just a thought
