Personally I'd probably agree with the recommendation for a thinkpad
despite never having owned one. I would also _not_ recommend a
Toshiba. The one I have is a poorly made piece of plastic with a
broken chipset (not unsupported, just broken in that under 64-bit OS
you can't see all the RAM, and the audio chipset distorts
horrifically).

I'll never buy another Toshiba.
