Strangely enough, although I'd heard of uname and have often run uname 
-r and uname -a, and even man uname, I had no recollection of uname -s.

Of course I had to try it.  And like Mike R - I am reassured, nay, 
relieved.  After all - you never know where the Other Operating System 
might creep in do you?
