I'll try and get down there and have a sniff around. Hopefully
without drawing too much attention to myself :)
IIRC orbital.net have an antenna on top of International House
providing Ashford with wireless internet. It has been a few years
since I investigated them for a business connection, at the time they
were pretty useless and not very pleasant to deal with. No idea what
they are like these days though. I believe there used to be a small
IT FM company based in International House too, no idea if they are
still there. Could prove to be potential options, if they would like
to donate some bandwidth in exchange for a mention on the website or
something.
I'll see what the survey throws up first.
Unfortunately I didn't bring my high-gain antenna to work with me.
I'll try and do something over the next couple of days.
