God yeah, I can't see anything stopping the behemoth that Ubuntu has
come... A better question would be whether Debian would have such an
important place in the linux market if Ubuntu based itself on something
else or created it's own base because I could see lots of debian based
distros like mepis and knoppix changing over to be "ubuntu based" instead
