Ok here's the rough thinking behind the user spaces talks idea. In a
nutshell it's trying to make sure that there can be talks for both
novices and expert at each meet. Also the below info gives a whole raft
of potential topics for people to get sign up to and get stuck in with.

For those at the last Maidstone my f-spot talk was an exaample of what I
had in mind - short, to the point and very simple.

What follows is the outpouring of my mind into a google doc a few weeks
ago. (sorry of the formatting a bit screwy)

    The Problems

Lack of newbie/ user space talks alienate and confuse klug members
People don't know what to do talks on
People aren't sure of how to structure talks which can result in anarchy
Hats, people aren't wearing enough of them
Lack of resources to put on the klug website

    The Solution

A series of talks entitled 'An introduction to....'

    * Start with a stock install of Ubuntu
    * Work down the aplications menu
    * GIve a talk on each one in the following format;
o half an hour of impress slides and talk
o half on hour of practicals

All talks to be recorded and put on the website

This gives us a ready made program of talks with some structure. People
can signup for the one they want to give.

By limiting the talks to half and hour they become relatively easy to
produce and help to keep them simple.

Talks should not use the cli but focus on the gui apps - but could
mention it in passing

Talks could be reused at install fest events
