At this point, you've lost me; I could never get my head round Windows
Networking....

I'm not sure WINS is the correct word, what I meant was Network
Neorborhood(sp), although I'm not sure even any recent version of
windows really likes this term.....

I'm guessing I want to know how to set a central user database that
both windows can talk to via its "Domain" feature, and to Linux via
PAM/NSS

why they used the term Domain here I'm not sure.
