[Klug-general] Kent BCS event - Washing Away Cave Paintings (Animation and Games Development)

A friend of mine is joining as part of his accreditation for a high level
security certification (I'm sorry I can't remember the name/details, but
it potentially pay a LOT more than I'm on). I know that in engineering there
are societies that one can join which you need to be in to become
chartered.

Quite why paying an annual membership to a subject related society
(the benefits of which seem confusing) makes such a difference to a persona
ability to do a job. The sad thing is that from what I'm told the top jobs
(at least in my friends engineering experience) seem to be handed out to
those with the membership in this society. Like a self
fulfilling prophesy almost?

Still what makes sense in the path to making sufficient money to survive and
not worry too much is confusing and inconsistent at the best of times.
