$ pidof rsync = nothing
$ pidof ssh = nothing

...and 'ntop' showed massive traffic going to the London server.

Weird, and most unusual for Linux to cause such a 'hiccup'...

...normally it does exactly what it says on the tin.

Which is why I use it.
