Re: GPIO

Some new students need help running a GPIO system on a model B raspberry pi
running Raspberian Linux, so I am forwarding this message to our KLUG group
mailing list on their behalf....

"We have connected the motor and battery to the GPIO RPi .
We have saved a Python program (developed using the Python Shell) in :

/home/pi/Desktop/Python programs
If we click on: Python programs, we see the file: motor.py

 The problem is

when we open LXTerminal we type:
cd /home/pi/Desktop/Python programs (is where our motor.py is)
We get the error message
"No such file or directory"

We have formatted another Raspberian SD Card from scratch.

In order to make our motor to work we need to use LXTerminal to find a
directory where we have saved our file, and once we are in the directory
we have to run the command: sudo python motor.py to start our motor
but LXTerminal says "No such file""

Without actually seeing the system, based on the above log, any thoughts on
what the problem is here?
