Dave, please speak for yourself. I consider it inactive, dormant and
dead -- and I say that with no ill intent or disrespect, but as a
matter of fact.

The last meeting was 2007! Becky is proposing to change that. Please,
give her a chance.

As far as I know, Becky is attempting to do a good thing here. Now, as
somebody who has been around the block a bit myself, I did warn her
that she would run the risk of going around in circles discussing
whether the Lincs LUG is active or not, so I advised her to just go
for it, which she is. I am fully supporting her efforts and think it
would be brilliant if others would too. I know Becky very well (full
disclaimer: we are married), and I know that she is not power hungry
or undemocratic, but she is very proactive, organised and best of all,
she likes to get things done. She will arrange a first meeting, and
she will bring cake. I know from your previous mails that you are
currently out of country, but I am sure the cake baking will not be a
one time only event. So, seriously, it would be fantastic if yourself
and Iain could come along and enjoy! :)

P.S. Becky asked me not to get involved, but I could not help myself.
She will not be happy when she gets home, but I thought I should say
something. Also, I do not want anything to jeopardise my cake eating!
