Since intros are going around I thought I'd participate as well.
I have been in It for about 24 years, mostly as an application developer and
more recently as a DBA. Security is currently part of my job, but I am
definitely interested in learning more. At work we have recently started a
Linux SIG. I see a big part of this being security. We have a couple of
computers that we're installing different flavors of Linux, and then seeing
what types of exploits are available and how to lock them down. Right now
my main interest is learning how they work and how to prevent them. Once I
learn more I will probably be more interested in the forensics as well.
