Incredible opportunity here for a Linux administrator working for an
international firm and a 'Times Top 100 company!' A role not to be
missed. Your job will involve the management and project work of all
things Linux. Presently our client is running Red Hat enterprise 3 but
a future upgrade will be part of your project work possibly to
enterprise 4. As well as Linux support, crucial will be your
management of project work. You will need to write specifications and
be able to initiate and lead projects / Linux installs too. Our
client's manufacturing systems sit on Linux systems so this role is
imperative to the successful running of the business. Other useful
skills will be exposure to Veritas Net Backup and managing the backups
/ backup strategy. Furthermore dealing with FTP File Transfers. Also
SQL Server or even MYSQL skills will be very useful too. This is a
very exciting role. If you are interested there will also be
opportunity for you to develop your knowledge into Oracle as an
outsourcing firm is presently looking after the Oracle systems and
this could be incorporated into your role if you are interested.
