I am currently recruiting for a C/C++/Linux Software Engineer to work in a product development team for a leading web security company. Details as follows:

Exciting opportunity for a talented C/C++ Software Engineer with specialist knowledge of SMTP-based Email systems to work in an expert team of Unix/Linux Software Engineers, within a leading web security organisation.

 

The Company

 

A web and desktop security software vendor with solutions that are unique in the market place. US-owned but with rapidly expanding presence in the UK and an R&D team focused on furthering the development of innovative security products.

 

The Role

 

This is a senior role within a world-class product engineering team. You will lead the definition, architecture and hands-on technical implementation of complex solutions and enhancements to a highly scalable, distributed on-demand security software service.  

 

Person Spec

 

ESSENTIAL:

 

In order to apply, you will be a C/C++/Perl Software Engineer with a proven track-record of architecting, designing and developing email security software.

 

These projects will have provided you with EXPERT knowledge of SMTP-based email servers and protocols, in addition to guru-level skills in one or more areas of Linux Application or Server engineering.

 

DESIRABLE:

 

In-depth experience of database programming using SQL, LDAP based directories, web filtering, proxy applications, or web applications using Perl, Apache, SQL are all highly desirable.

 

As an individual, you will have a passion for technology and will be acknowledged as an expert in one or more areas of engineering by your peers.

 

The package

 

Basic salary up to approx £55k + great benefits. Based in Reading, Berks.
