Linux Sys Admin Developer

 

We are acting as a recruitment agency on behalf of our client who are
urgently looking for a Linux administrator.

Due to expansion an exciting opportunity has become available for an
experienced Linux Systems Administrator with some PHP skills to join an
established business specialising in IT Solutions and Support for small
and medium businesses in Cumbria and Lancashire.

 

The main purpose of the role will be to administer and maintain the 48
Linux servers and 24 Windows servers in the 2 Data Centres as well as
basic operating system maintenance which will involve security; checking
logs; maintaining performance and email systems such as Qmail, Courier,
Zimbra and Microsoft Exchange.

 

Core knowledge of:

Linux and PHP is essential 

some knowledge of Apache, MySQL and Plesk would be preferable but
training can be provided on these.

 

My client is looking to fill this position as a matter of urgency due to
the large volume of orders and will require an immediate start. 

 

Location:             Lancashire and Cumbria 

 

Salary:                  varies depending on experience
