Systems Support Administrator
Reporting to: Head of Operations

Background

Two Way Media, the UK’s leading TV games company, is seeking an
experienced Systems Support Administrator to manage its broad range of
IT and operational services.

Two Way Media is a leading TV games specialist that creates and
distributes games formats on TV and digital platforms.  We create fun,
skill-based games for IPTV and cable markets, including great
interactive products for shows like Who Wants To Be a Millionaire? and
Deal or No Deal.  We also produce great web games, and our leading
game String ‘em In is now available on Facebook, iPhones and mobile
phones as well as on TV.  Through our partnership with Cartoon
Network, we have created a package of over 20 children’s IPTV games
based on their well-known brands.  We have also created a raft of
unique educational IPTV games for Fox International Channel’s BabyTV.

Two Way Media is the exclusive provider of ITV's interactive TV
services on Virgin Media, supporting high profile shows such as
XFactor and I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!  It has built cross
platform services for the BBC including their interactive news
services and a number of CBBC games. More recently it has created a
free-to-play online video bingo game for Channel Five, and has
released iPhone games with brands such as This Is Your Life.

The company has 12 full-time staff operating out of its office in
Wapping, London, and is majority owned by investment company Ingenious
Media Active Capital Limited.

Role Definition:

The Systems Support Administrator is responsible for the company’s IT
infrastructure.  This spans our live web hosting and application
services as well as our corporate IT needs.

This is a high profile role within the company with a high degree of
responsibility.  It requires a variety of skills including customer
and internal communications, problem solving, methodical working
practices and a flexible paractical approach

Key Responsibilities:

Managing the company’s operational IT infrastructure

·        Network administration, management of firewalls, routers and
switches, with emphasis on maintaining a secure environment at all
times
·        Regular system monitoring and maintenance
·        Administration of Linux and Solaris hosts running Apache,
MySQL and application servers
·        Bash shell scripting
·        Out of hours technical support

Managing the company’s corporate IT infrastructure

·        Management of Windows active directory environment, MS
Exchange server, XP/Vista/Mac clients, anti-virus and applications
·        1st line support for 12+ corporate users

Supporting the company’s live TV events

·        Providing 1st line technical support for the company’s live
TV events, including troubleshooting, fault recognition and diagnosis



Skill Sets:

Required:

·        Linux administration (CentOS or RedHat Enterprise)

·        Solaris Networking (TCP/IP, Routing, NAT, OpenVPN),
Firewalls, packet analysis
·        Security knowledge
·        VMware ESX (we use 3.5 and 4.0)
·        Active Directory and Exchange
·        Perl
·        Shell scripting
·        MYSQL administration
·        Windows XP and Vista

Desirable:

·        ZFS
·        Specific experience with pfSense or SmoothWall
·        MacOS
·        Other development skills, including Java, C++
·        Nagios experience
·        Blackberry server

Salary to £35,000
