LAMP / PHP / Linux Administrator - West Midlands - £25-30k 

Approved Linux Training Company looking for an experienced and multiskilled PHP Developer with Linux Systems Administration experience to join their happy, ambitious and hard-working team. 

Above all you need to have a professional attitude, excellent communication skills (written and verbal across all levels) and be passionate about Open Source. 

This position would suit a Passionate PHP Developer with some Linux Sys Admin experience OR a Passionate Linux Systems Admin with some PHP experience. 

This position will have 3 important aspects, PHP Developer, Linux Systems Administrator and Trainer (no previous Trainer/Training experience required - full training provided). 

PHP Developer : 
* Developing custom features and functionality a range of Open Source Software applications 
* An eye for usability and clean UI deployment 
* Experience in ONE of the following : module-writing for OSS (eg drupal), content management frameworks, web application frameworks or content management systems (CMS) 
* Development experience using PHP5, MySQL / PostGreSQL, APIs and web services + (X)HTML, CSS & Javascript (AJAX) 

LAMP/Linux Administrator : 
* Linux / Apache webserver management experience 
* Experience of security monitoring, updating, upgrading, patching & software improvements 
* Experience of MySQL / PostGreSQL database administration experience 

As a Linux Trainer you will be Trained and supported to do the following: 
* Design, deliver and continuously improve face-to-face, training courses. 
* You will be financed to undergo training towards your own LINUX qualifications 

The training aspect of the role requires excellent communication skills, occasional travel (once a month at most) and the ability to learn new technical information. 

Your day to day responsibilities will be varied and my client will offer structure and support throughout your career. You will be a key member of their staff and be presented with, fully funded, career-enhancing training courses. 

A CRB Check will be required for this position. 
Self-Funded Relocation will be considered - assistance will be provided. 

My client is offering a starting salary of upto £30k + Official Linux training + Strong presence within the Open Source community + Working with Recognised and Blue chip companies + Career progression.
