All, currently recruiting to take on an experienced developer to put
some more focus and structure into our internal and customer facing
web systems.

Reporting to: Technical Operations Manager

Location: Reading (15 minutes walk from station)



Reporting to the Technical Operations Manager, the Web Systems
Developer will be the primary point for the design and development of
our growing internal and external systems. You will be very
experienced in working with PHP and MySQL, and familiar with other
languages under Linux and Windows to enable us to create systems that
support our expanding business.



::Key Responsibilities:

 - Design and develop internal management systems.

 - Design and develop customer facing systems (Ticket/ Issue tracking,
Control Panel’s etc...)

 - Provide coding support to the Technical Operations and Support
teams enabling them to develop faster and work more effectively.

 - Be able to develop modular systems, in a structured fashion to
enable shorter development cycles

 - Ability to work individually and achieve development milestones.



:: Knowledge, Skills & Experience

 - Demonstrable expertise in developing PHP-based database-driven applications.

 - Minimum of 3/4 years experience developing in PHP with MySQL

 - Expert knowledge of MySQL and be very familiar with RDBMS.

 - Ability to hand-code HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.

 - OO skills (Object-oriented development).

 - Knowledge of other languages desirable (under both Windows and Linux)

 - Knowledge of Linux and Windows administration to support the
Technical Services team in day to day administration.
