Linux Driver Specialist - Oxfordshire - £50k-100k + Benefits

Looking for an experienced and skilled Linux Integration Specialist who can write drivers from scratch. Good Contractors will be considered.

You will be working for an established and successful, market leader, within the Media and Signage industry.

As a Linux Integration Specialist, you will be programming on a low level in order to deliver the functional requirements from the software and hardware. Using a wide range of Open Source code within a Linux environment you will be developing leading edge Linux driver software and demanding real-time applications.

Your main responsibilities will be Integrating Linux device drivers into a complex Linux appliance software builds. This will include developing real-time software, video players and working with Digital and Analogue devices.

Experience in ONE of the following would be ideal (although not essential)
* Real-time video player applications including the GStreamer media player.
* Digital and Analogue TV Tuners, capture devices and receivers.
* MPEG encoding software.
* Xorg and Kernel graphics drivers including OpenGL extensions.

You will be provided with the full support and knowledge of the software development, software test and software support teams.
