Experience Developer - Management Progression - London - £40-45k + benefits

Looking for a passionate Experienced Developer with Managerial aspirations to progress into a Managerial role.

Python Architect/Experienced Developer - London - £80-150k + benefits

Experienced Unix Systems Administrator - London - £28-32k + benefits

Experienced Unix Systems Administrator required for exciting position. You will be joining a successful & established software company based in London. The company specializes in web based technology, specifically web-delivered application platforms. This includes complete, flexible web application platforms & framework for the creation & management of dynamic content driven websites/web based applications. Featuring a rich architecture & rapid implementation, these are easily adopted by users & offer a cost effective, versatile, way of managing both structured & unstructured content.

As a Unix Systems Administrator you will be expected to Monitor & maintain the following:
* Network & server security
* System resources (CPU usage, memory utilisation, IO, backup systems, & response times)
* Critical network services (e.g. DNS, DHCP, & email)
* System & application backups & recovery procedures, including writing/maintaining custom backup scripts
* Server & other infrastructure logs

This will include:
* Installation & set up new servers/infrastructure
* Installation & set up platform deployments
* Writing/maintaining shell scripts to automate system administration tasks & monitoring
* Troubleshooting/diagnosing production problems & identification of problems
* Configure & test hardware, networking infrastructure, & operating systems

To be selected to work for this growing & successful company you must possess the following:
* Very strong ability to operate & administer servers (hardware & OS; primarily Solaris & Linux)
* High level of experience & competence working in Unix/Linux shell programming experience using scripting languages (one or more of the following bash, sh/ksh, perl or python)
* Good level of proficiency with the Internet & networks & networked environments - hardware & software
* Ability to install/setup & maintain servers, operating systems, switches, routers, firewalls, & other network equipment
* Reasonable knowledge of network architecture, design, TCP/IP, subnetting, firewalling, NAT, routing, & network protocols
* Knowledge of network performance & monitoring tools
* Ability to develop OS/server performance, network performance & security reports to include compilation, analysis, & interpretation of results
* Strong service orientation

All technical requirements will be tested during the recruitment process.
A person with a high degree of personal interest/passion in Unix systems & related infrastructure will be particularly well suited & highly valued in the role.

Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a technical field/Computer Science (we also recognize that many good system administrators are self-taught, & will consider experienced candidates, particularly if you have relevant qualifications, eg RHCE)
* RHCE or similar qualification highly desirable
