HP Cloud Services is looking for exceptional and highly motivated technologists
to join Technical Operations, helping to build and manage the server
infrastructure
and all the assorted systems and tools required to support our service
offerings.
If you love technology, want to work on a team with some incredibly
smart people,
and get your kicks from building awesome systems which make managing thousands
of nodes trivial then we want you.
We need you to be self-motivated, able to work with minimal
supervision, willing to
take on an eclectic range of tasks and to wear many hats whilst we
grow the business.
Some travel is involved for meetings - this should only be a few weeks per year.
Our working culture is very relaxed and we issue fairly spiffy equipment to keep
staff both happy and productive, we aim to offer a competitive
compensation package.
We're looking for ninjas and the only thing we won't include is your outfit ;)
We are a geographically dispersed and global team, thus all of our roles require
excellent communication, documentation and teamwork skills.

* Experience in a 24x7 environment with sharding/replication, etc
* Understanding of capacity planning and system management
* Expertise with disaster recovery planning and implementation

Other managers in Technical Operations are also hiring for -
-> NOC Manager
-> NOC Technical Lead
-> NOC Analysts
-> Network Engineers
-> Security Engineers
-> Data Analysts
Jobs are to be based in Bristol (BS34 8QZ) though once you get up to speed there
should be opportunity to work from home a couple of days a week if desired.
Amount of desired experience is not listed above on purpose, we can hire folks
in with a more senior title to any of them - it's about finding people who fit.
I guess I can define "competitive compensation" as £27-55k plus benefits -
depending primarily on experience of the candidate and the job involved.
We are not able to offer a relocation package for any of the roles listed.
You must be able to legally live and work in the United Kingdom too.
All of our roles may include an element of out of hours or on-call work.
Please drop any questions to me at my work address for a quick response.
Thanks!
