Ticketmaster are recruiting for a Linux Systems Manager, Europe. 

 

Ticketmaster supports the ticket inventory platforms, websites and
reporting systems across the Live Nation International group. We support
complex, high availability, high volume transactions sites. Our systems
are sophisticated and challenging. As a manager of the group, you will
be required to work with other Architecture and Engineering teams on
producing solid implementations. You will also be working with dedicated
Network, Database Administrator and Application Support teams on
ensuring the smooth running of our day to day operations.

Responsibilities 

*	Manage and mentor a team of Linux system specialists who are
responsible for configuring, installing, maintaining and tuning our
Linux servers, load balancers and network based storage platforms.
*	Work closely with Engineering and QA leadership on feeding back
system performance and design issues
*	Ensure that systems standards are met and maintained to PCI
standards
*	Manage workload for the team; daily maintenance, reactive
support, project and ad-hoc elements
*	Lead Europe's participation in the design enhancement of
existing new platforms
*	Leverage, and build upon, Ticketmaster's configuration
management system
*	Maintain server and network security
*	Prioritise, coordinate and deliver special technology projects
*	Evaluate new technologies (R&D)
*	Recommend and requisition equipment and applications for server
deployment
*	Provide support for high demand events or incidents
*	24/7 on-call duties as needed

Requirements
Skills / Knowledge / Experience

*	Proven experience managing or leading a systems administration
or engineering team
*	Proven experience of Linux System Administration
*	Strong understanding the following technologies 

	*	OSI model
	*	JBOSS/Tomcat
	*	Apache
	*	HA computing
	*	Message Orientated Middleware

*	Experience of IT standards such as: ISO27001, PCI-DSS, ITIL
*	Experience of at least one of the following languages: Bash,
Python, Perl, PHP or Java
*	Ability to travel infrequently within Europe and North America
