Hi All,

Linux Systems Administrator is required by a games studio in the Soho area.  This is going to be the first systems administration hire and this role will see you working very closely with the CTO and senior management team.  You will initially be required to set up the Linux (mainly Debian but they are using some other variants too) environment but as time goes on you will be responsible for helping define technical strategy.

To be considered for this role you will have solid experience of Linux and will ideally be working within a start up at the moment and will not be phased by the idea of being a sole systems administrator.  You will have worked with MySQL and will either have some experience working with nginx or will be willing to learn this technology; experience with Apache is also fine but you will need to be willing to use nginx going forward.  If you have any experience with PHP that would be great!
Salary is fairly negotiable but the maximum for this role is probably around £40,000.  As time goes on my client will be looking to implement a shares scheme and offer some other really cool non-financial benefits such as games nights and so on.
