They’ve built a SaaS platform that uses behavioural and social data at web scale to create deeply relevant experiences that drive customer acquisition and retention through incredible audience understanding.
The Role:
Responsible for the overall management of the technical resources ensuring that servers are available and secure access policies are in place
Implementation and auditing system designs 24/7 for all 365 days of the year
Release management for all environments ensuring continuous integration
Managing the security of all systems and ensuring restricted access is in place for servers and services and particularly data security
Employ high tech security measures to safeguard the company’s information including backups and disaster recovery
Managing the relationship with the outsourced Technical Support Company / team
Developing and ongoing management of company SLAs
Research, review and evaluate new technologies relating to technical operations as they emerge
The Technology
The platform is designed as a SaaS product and is deployed on AWS, built in Java with MongoDB and HBase for data storage. It’s a full Linux environment; Hadoop is used for batch processing with a messaging fabric built using Apache Kafka. Other technologies used; Redis, Puppet, Chef, Docker.
