Environment Systems is a small but growing environmental and agricultural
consultancy (http://www.envsys.co.uk) based in Aberystwyth, mid-Wales, with
around 30 employees.

As software becomes more central to many of the tasks in the business, we
are looking to grow our engineering team with more software development and
devops talent. There are a couple of specific projects ongoing right now
that you would be helping on, but the opportunity for development
activities within the company are diverse - there are many ways in which
you could slot in to contribute to the business depending on your specific
skills and experience.

We work predominantly in Python, so familiarity with that would definitely
be useful, though not essential as the ideal candidate would be comfortable
picking up new skills and technologies quickly. Any experience with issues
surrounding Earth Observation / geo-spatial data processing and GIS tools
and libraries would also be beneficial, though any competent developer who
understands the issues of coding for large (multi-gigabyte) data-set
processing would suit well.

We also have a growing need for UX design and front-end development using
web / mobile technologies, so if HTML5, Angular.js or any other appropriate
frameworks, libraries or middle-ware are your bag, please get in touch.
Similar for cloud-based or distributed compute architectures and devops
experience.

right candidate, some combination of work from home and regular office
presence could be arranged.
