Scraperwiki Needs You (if you are a sys admin)

The Scraperwiki Project team would like to recruit a sys admin to  
help with the project.
The project faces a number of challenges because it allows users to  
run arbitrary programs on the server. This presents security and  
performance issues in an unusual virtualised environment.

Tasks that need to be completed incl
Review deployment and server setup (including the option of moving to  
cloud hosting)-
Security audit, updates & backups
System performance tuning.
Monitoring network infrastructure and performance
Produce key performance indicator reports

The ideal person should have several years experience of sys admin of  
linux or unix and an interest in programming ideally Python.

Daily Rate: £220 per day.
Location: Ideally based in Liverpool (but this is flexible)
Start Date: Feb 2010
