[Malvern] Hello

Hi All

Just thought I'd pen a few lines by way of introduction.

My name is Stuart (known as Buster to my friends) and I will be moving
to the Malvern area in three to four weeks time to take up a new job. I
am currently in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.

I work in the digital forensics field, mainly on MS machines to date,
but am beginning to do more and more under Linux.

I have been a Linux user for a couple of years now and currently run
Debian Etch on the laptop and the desktop. I am very comfortable in both
the desktop and the command line although I still have a great deal to
learn about the "under the hood" stuff. I am just getting into some
basic programming (barely past HelloWorld! at the moment) in C++. I've
also just started to look at Perl although again, it's very early days.

I have been an active member of the Peterborough LUG where I have been
upgrading their web site. Again, I'm no web developer, but it was a
useful opportunity to find my way around Joomla.

I also really enjoy the social side of Lugs, particularly when real ale
and curries are involved.

I am very much looking forward to meeting everyone at the meetings when
I eventually get moved over.
