[Malvern] Impress Presentations.

I am "playing with"  OO Impress,  which I have never used before, nor 
have I had any contact with
the opposition-style "Power-Point".

I understand that Impress uses vector graphics, like my favourite 
Postscript,  but when I attempt
to import .ps files it just displays the source code.  I have heard of 
ps2edit.  Is this what I need ?

I also have some jpg pictures,  but I am not sure whether Impress can 
cope with those since they are not  vector graphic.

Are there any experienced "Impressionists"  out there ?
