[Nottingham] network slowing down

Hi all,

trying to keep up with the fast development of linux, i upgraded my computer
from Red Hat 7.2 to Red Hat 8. But now the network speed feels a lot slower
(when i was testing with large file transfer method :-) and i get quite a few
errors from the stats:

RX packets:17613304 errors:95526 dropped:0 overruns:252 frame:147785

Just wondering if this is normal or whether i probably have a problem with
driver/config/stuffs

any thoughts will be appreciated
