Maybe I won't bother.

Slight change of subject, but one thing I can say, is that while software
RAID on linux may suck as a redundancy and/or failure recovery mechanism,
I've found it good when used for striping (raid 0) if write speed is what
you're looking for.  I found this useful for realtime capture and saving
of uncompressed video from a wintv card for example.
