Well, not really.

The software that runs on the simulated computers of the matrix was,
however, written by the human minds within the matrix, so it will have
grown up with its own set of exploits.

If you look, the film makes several references to stuff that's embedded in
today's culture (vampires, aliens); the aim being to hint that *we* are in
the matrix now.

The first one did this too (think deja vu).
