That Sitefinder was really messing things up, as well as being personally annoying.

So what finally swung it?

Did all the petitions have any impact or would ICANN have moved any way?
I personally did sign on-line petitions as well as email Verisign and ICANN .

Presume ICANN might not have been so energetic if there was not such a ground swell of 
opinion, BUT I have no idea how they operate so am only guessing.

I guess we will never know.
