I can boot into a vernerable solid old version of Win95C, or a heavily 
tweaked reasonable solid version of WinXP-Pro, and I just have no need 
to do so. They've not been booted up for some considerable time now.

Wine works surprisingly well. Had it running on here for just two apps 
(now defunct). Try it, although you can usually find native linux ways 
for whatever apps. Most of the useful stuff has been programmed.
