[Nottingham] IT8212 IDE driver

Has anyone tried the IT8212 IDE driver on a 2.4 kernel?

I have been using an early version, and found it works fine on 2.6
kernel with Debian Sarge. Any ideas on getting it to run on a 2.4 kernel
on Debian Woody. Are the driver model's compatible? Can I take the
it8212.c and stick it in the Makefiles etc and have it work?
