[Nottingham] Annoying Sylpheed issue

All,

I've got Sylpheed 0.9.10 running on Fedora Core 2.

I get my mails, they get marked as unread in my Inbox. I read them. A few minutes later I click on the Get button to see if I have any new mails. The previous mails that I downloaded have returned to their unread status. How and where do I look to get this annoying trait turned off?
