[Nottingham] Fixed IP

Hi,

Some days ago the DCHP server in my (brothers) network died and I'm 
being forced to assign static IP's to my boxes. This is the best 
temporary solution for me.

I've taken a look through google but can't find any guide explaining how 
to configure a pre-installed linux box to have a fixed IP.

Could someone give me a link or give me a hint at which files to edit?
